Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations team as an Aeronautical Information Management Manager.

As an Aeronautical Information Management Manager, you will be responsible for managing development and enhancement of existing software’s to bring efficiency with effective solution to business practices. You will take responsibility for improving internal process and working practices through driving improvements to communication and co-ordination between business and its internal customers as well as supporting the Line Manager to monitor team standards and compliance with documented working practice.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

• Define, document and deliver business requirements for enhancement and development of operational software under AIM responsibility.
• Preform reviews and recommendation of vendor proposal and solution for AIM related products as well as planning implementation of new solutions in line with stakeholders’ requirements.
• Deliver test plan cases for new enhancement and co-ordinate corrective actions for defects identified.
• Ensure user guides for software application(s) under AIM responsibility are updated, published and available to end users in timely manner.
• Conduct regular audit of AIM team for procedure compliance with AIM section manual.
• Perform risk assessment of changes to team procedures, software changes impacting working practices and document operational impact and mitigation plans.
• Evaluate industry changes to aeronautical information for operational impact to company applications and section process and procedures.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Relevant College or University qualification with a minimum of 7 years job-related experience.
• Experience working in either Airline flight support-role with a navigation background or Aeronautical Information Service office.
• Holder of Flight Dispatch License / Certificate or Aeronautical Information Service (AIS) Officer with appropriate certificate.
• Knowledge of AIS activities related to Aeronautical Information Publications and NOTAMs.
• Experience in the handling of Aeronautical Information publications.
• Demonstrate knowledge in aviation navigation subjects and aviation regulatory publications.
• Experience in using flight planning system, preferably LIDO.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office software’s (Word, Excel, outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to train and develop staff skills sets.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
